A Buffalo Bills fan holds up a sign in support of the Bills' Terrell Owens against the Houston Texans during the first half of the NFL football game in Orchard Park, N.Y., Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009.
If Tony Dungy believes Michael Vick would be a good fit in Buffalo, Donte Whitner is on board. Confident Vick can regain his once-dynamic form, the Bills safety said Monday he would encourage his team to pursue Vick if the Eagles -- who hold a $5.2 million option on the backup quarterback next season -- decide to release Vick in the offseason.

Brian Brohm was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the second round (56th overall) of the 2008 NFL Draft. As a rookie, he was the third quarterback on the depth chart behind starter Aaron Rodgers and backup Matt Flynn. He was waived on September 5, 2009. Just days later, Brohm was signed to the practice squad.
Brohm was signed off the Packers practice squad by the Buffalo Bills on November 19 after the Bills waived Gibran Hamdan. He is projected to make his first NFL start on December 27 vs. the Atlanta Falcons

Bills’ Terrell Owens has 1,000th career reception
Terrell Owens(notes) is the sixth player in NFL history to catch 1,000 passes.
Owens reached the milestone with an 8-yard catch for Buffalo in the second quarter of Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons. He had a 10-yard catch from Brian Brohm(notes), making his first start, earlier in the drive.
Owens entered the game needing two catches to reach 1,000 for his career, which began in 1996. He reached the milestone in 203 games. Only Marvin Harrison(notes) and Jerry Rice(notes) reached 1,000 career receptions in fewer games.
Atlanta’s Tony Gonzalez(notes) began the day six catches from 1,000.

-------- ---- ---- -------- ----
The Buffalo Bills got a 30-7 victory over the Indianapolis Colts to close a tumultuous season in an otherwise meaningless regular-season finale for both teams.
"I loved it," Bills coach Perry Fewell said. "It was a Buffalo day."
All that was missing were snow-angels in the end zone, though Terrell Owens(notes) did his part by doing jumping jacks on the sideline after scoring on a 41-yard touchdown pass.
"Yeah, that's the thing. You've got to get caught up in the moment," Owens said, about his spontaneous celebration. "But once all that stuff settles down, it's back to freezing."
Owens finished the game with four catches for 65 yards, giving him 14,951 for his career, to move ahead of Tim Brown(notes) for third place on the NFL list.
Where do the Buffalo Bills go from here?
The tackle position paralyzed the offense all season. Despite issues elsewhere, this must be the team’s top offseason priority. Picking ninth overall, the Bills might not get one of the two elite rookie tackles —
Oklahoma State’s Russell Okung and Oklahoma’s Trent Williams. It might be a reach to take Rutgers’ Anthony Davis(notes) or Iowa’s Bryan Bulaga at No. 9, but the Bills can’t come out of the draft without a quality young tackle. … The Bills have an uncertain situation at quarterback. Some in the organization are not ready to give up on Trent Edwards(notes), who lost his starting job to journeyman Ryan Fitzpatrick(notes). Those two and Brian Brohm are all under contract through next season. There is not a can’t-miss QB prospect in the draft, so that might give Edwards one last chance to prove he can be a capable starter. … The decision not to draft OLB Brian Cushing(notes) in April proved costly, so the team still needs a playmaker on the second level of the defense. Whether they fill the void in the draft or free agent will depend on who new G.M. Buddy Nix hires as coach.
